It had fuel injection. And I mostly drove at 20mph in town and 49mph elsewhere. Even if I was really late for something it felt really unnecessary to rush. They should prescribe old XJ6 ownership for stress relief.

Did you ever try to drift the jag?
Also did yours have to have the special jag only tyres not the metric ones?

No...
Nor have I attempted to go dogging in a Caterham.
Sometimes you need to respect the limitations of a car.

I went to glastonbury in mine, the joy of getting in to comfy seats and brill air con. Driving gently meant I had no problem leaving the muddy fields.
Mine had a power steering leak and was told by the jag dealer that they all do that.

The most economical car I've ever owned has been the Porsche Boxster S.
It is also the least fun car I have ever owned. And I have owned a Daewoo Matiz. That I never drove.
The moral of the story is, fuck fuel economy. Buy a Jag.

You keep mentioning that matiz....why punish yourself....

That's what the Cayenne Turbo S was for then?

Cheers, they seem to be universally loved. To my eyes they look like the last of the tinny, basic shopping carts with massive engine style of hot hatch before they went all obese and turbocharged. Got my heart set on a Trophy as a dossing around car if I ever come into a bit of money. A 182 wouldn't be a disaster but I want those Recaro buckets and Sachs dampers.

Crack on then...

I just can't wait to see you sat in the thing.

Good start already!
Can I dump all my old Mini shit on you then?
I think I've got a smoothie bootlid hanging around my parents' garage that my dad hasn't got rid of

Like the Jag suggestions, my insurer would absolutely have my pants down though.
Seen a nice low mileage MK4 Golf with a year on the MOT but it needs a new fan belt. Anyone have any idea how big a job that is?
-
• #26842
Anything that's free haha, what mini did you own?
-
• #26843
Once I'm sitting it's not a problem, more the getting in and out that can be a bit awkward.

Nice, I'm toying with the idea of a straight through centre exit RC40 pipe on this. Not sure it's even worth it for the little 850 though.

Yup I'm @constant_changes and I was pulling it apart yesterday.

Oh this is giving me the Mini itch again!
Driving it gently?
My XJ40 did 24 mpg on a long run to manchester and being gentle. Or XJR I'd like an XJR.
