£500 for the groupset, wheels, finishing kit just shows how bullshit their frame price is.
-
• #353
But you can test ride them .. sigma or swift.

• #354
And I know somebody here. Discount.

• #355
You are bad influence, not even clicking that.

If weights not so much important, maybe these options could help you:
Tarmac 56cm S/R = 564/395
Kinesis Racelight Aithein Disc 56cm S/R = 565.8/397
Condor Fratello Disc 55cm S/R = 570/386

I wouldn't use the Condor since they wouldn't replace my cracked Pista even though it was clearly a manufacturing error because I was not original owner. If you make something wrong and it can break and injure people, you need to recall it and replace it, not pull some warranty statement shit. Condor >>>
Kinesis on the other hand sorted out a cheap replacement for my crashed Racelight.
Only up to 28mm tyres on the Kinesis and ally but it could work.

Be aware that my Kinesis Racelight 4S Disc, and also @TurtleRecall frame, has problems with a 160rotor in the rear brake (with problems I mean a mayor rubbing because there is only a 1mm clearance, but they don't confirm if its a design problem or a batch welding problem... they just sent me a 140mm adaptor)... maybe the Aithein has the same problem, but they didn't answer that neither

Hippy needs 160mm rotor
-
• #360
hippy overtakes amey as king buyer.
-
• #361
I really don't know how much difference will make de 140mm in the back, I really don't like it, since they advertise the 4S Disc as 160mm compatible, and they even send the frame with 160mm adapters!! But I'll give it a try in the north mountains, and ask for a refund if it's not enough. They keep saying that flipping shimano tells that 140 its ok
-
• #363
hippy hasn't bought anything yet and buyer in the correct sense of the word is for people buying shit they don't/won't/can't use whereas whatever bike I choose... imafuckthisup!
-
• #364
That's not a rotor, THIS is a rotor!
-
• #365
I think any of the bikes you 'picked' will be good.
Happy to talk to you about my opinion based on experience.
-
• #366
Yeah, handy.
If you were me (apart from having to change your username to "fat") which would you buy? Are you racing your Cayo again this year?
-
• #368
The parity exchange rate $ to £ is across the board for importers so it seems - cheaper for me to fly to states for a moots.

It's true! I'm now running a 140mm rotor on the rear and it's stopping me (at 6'6" and almost 100kg) so it's not the end of the world for the kind of riding I do. I can skid if needs be, for sure.
well thats new, wasnt the case last year. It will cost far less if you buy the whole bike, sell everything and upgrade to Di2.
