  • I snapped a time cleat bolt. I'm looking for some generic m5 countersunk bolts as replacement. Does anyone know the length of the cleat bolts?

11-12mm for SPDs, according to the ones in my parts bin. Beware of generic M5 countersunk screws, they usually have 3mm hex sockets whereas genuine SPD screws have a compound shaped head to make room for a 4mm hex socket. If the 3mm doesn't round out when you fit them it certainly will when you try to get them out.

  • Thanks, I figured that may be a risk. Next stupid question - will those shimano bolts fit atac cleats? Looks like they have a shoulder/shank under the head, whereas the time bolts don't.
