  • Sheriff stars are nice but not worth the premium and the chances of them cracking as you see are high. I would just get hubs that match the cranks which I believe would be these? -

    or maybe @ObiWomKenobi 's wheelset ?

Also possibly get some panto stuff? Link

The first link are road but I think for the price you could potentially convert them to a faux track set with some effort. edit actually dont get them(deleted the links), as its that seller that clearly engraves stuff himself selling it for mad money profit.

  • Would the hubs that you've linked be acceptable though? They are redesigned versions of the c-record version so not exactly the same. I can't find any c-record low flange hubs for sale though.

I know of a set of sheriff star hubs for the same price of a new set of low flange ones. If the price is right then maybe I should just go with sheriff stars and be a careful while riding? They are much prettier hubs..

The cranks I have are 2nd gen c-record, I'd prefer to use track cranks then use bodged pantoed road ones. My look for a pantoed chainring though and probably a stem (Tommasini sell 1A's but cost about £180).

  • I honestly dont know.. I just think the cranks should match the hubs and so forth. Just go for the sherrifs and dont lace radially as Colin says. I hope for some pursuit bars in the future too ;-)
