As in have them reshape the shimano post? So that it is the same shape as the front part of the air post?
Another option that I've spotted on Instagram is to have a regular seatpost altered to fit by a frame builder. Rychtarski has done one for someone, it would mean that you'd still have the saddle mount on top.

Couldn't a machinist turn down the part that is going to be inserted? Looks like one could get almost full contact of the seat tube with the post (ie like only the sharpish front would be missing)?
