Why?

Very few of them are any good. The odd ones which are are expensive, and the only benefit they have over metal ones is lighter weight. Sure, if money is no object knock yourself out and spend an extra £100 to save 50g on your weight weenie bike, but if you think you're going to get comfortable by changing the seat post material, check your position and tyre pressure instead, it's free and actually works.

About a month ago there was another one sold for 80 GBP on forum.

Yep, you can see the build (ish) on my post before. It rides amazing, especially with a modern groupset (light, efficient shifting etc). It was the 2000 model, year before this one.

Still, I'm tempted to sell cos I'm not sure I can afford to keep n+1 bikes.

Nice build, saw it before, but overlooked the fact that it's a Koga, love the paint job. Also quite sorry that mine is not going to have the original fork to go with it, but I guess the carbon one should offer more comfort. Good price you got for yours should be a reason more to keep it!

I'd swap it for a Koga track in a heartbeat ;)

don't punish the koga for the -£ balance, you'll regret it as soon as some money starts flowing in!

New wheels but still need to change the tyres. today gave me the opportunity to get it proper shiny and clean. Still need to tweak the stem/bars. Perhaps need to slam it a touch and rotate the bars a little.

Fresh out of the Fista cave! Still needs some tweaking but it's so much fun. Crispy shifting and around 9kg.

nice, is that 700c in the back? 26" frame nah?

Yeah 700c's and a mtb frame. I found a cantilever brake set long enough to work in the rear.
I might get a set of Paul motolites at some point, if I can find some at a good price but these will do for now.

awesome, how big are the tyres you have on it? You're making me wanna try and squeeze some smaller 29er tyres in my Klein.

They came off an old mtb and are unbranded unfortunately so I can't help you out with a brand or model @tallsam @Gaston.
However they are quite similar to the Avid Tri-Align cantis which are kinda expensive but you can find cheaper alternatives on the bay. I've maxed them out to get them to work but they do work.

As for the tyres @B0N0R, they are 35c on a 25mm rim man. Could go slightly bigger too.

Sunday roast recipe (inspired by stuff previously seen on this thread (or the functional thread, don't remember).

Ingredients:
-end bit from handlebars
-bit of hard wood
-the poshest ahead stem cap in your box
-bolt from a seat post cluster
-zip ties
-car paint

Not the sturdiest thing ever but for a fairly lightweight LED front light like what I generally use, it will be fine.

My Genesis Croix de fer all stripped for modification, then paint.

Getting a 3rd bottle cage and two bosses on the fork crown for my new soma 24 pack rack, which in turn will allow me to use low risers when I want to use panniers.

Sounds functional, what are you thinking paint-wise?
