I've just moved to stages to allow me to swap between bikes/wheelsets do does anyone want to buy a powertap - archetype wheelset? Front hub is a dura ace, both are laced 32h with (I think) DT Swiss comp.
Dunno what the going rate is, just seeing if anyone is interested here before I list them properly. Price wise is £300ish fair or more/less?

I'm not sure. I bought an 11 speed Shimano freehub for about £20. They just take the novatec ones I seem to think.
I'd want to sell the wheelset whole as well, no need for a lone front wheel at the moment.
Although I will probably build a new rear with an identical rim so possibly...

I'm lying to myself about it being wrong, there's probably no basis for this but (but!) the turbo was misbehaving, holding the wrong power level and (in some cases) punching up 300 watts for no apparent reason.
Anyway - it certainly gives room to improve.
Also, as we discussed under that very stylish wall-hanging, at least the testing protocol isn't enough to leave you hanging for days.
This is more interesting than the Badge Of Shame:
From a training perspective anyway, raise the lactate threshold whilst also hoiking VO2 Max etc etc.

I'm thinking of joining the many with and buying power meter after 4 years of testing using HR and VirtualPower on TR only.
A friend has a very tidy set of Vector S pedals he's looking to move on, I'm tempted, just wondering what those with Vectors think of them.
I'll be pairing them to my Garmin 500, any issues there?Cheers.

From what I've read most issues come from people not installing them correctly and applying the correct torque.

I've been happy with mine for the last 3 years (they are a bit like triggers broom not to be honest after a body replacement and an upgrade to v2s) and they are certainly less faff to install than bepros. Not many people would complain about the progress they've helped me make on the bike as well...
I've had times when the data has been wonkey but the first was when the old crushem pods were on their way out and the second was after the upgrade and I was not setting the angles correctly.
That said if I was doing it again i'd probably buy p2m...

@BeaconJon @TTM Yep, i have a single sided first generation vector pedal (braces for barrage of pisstake) - i wanted something i could quickly and easily shift between bikes and, at the time, was needing something relatively cheap.
I think they're fine tbh, the installation and pairing is easy, and they give me something to train to.
On a side note - @Sainsburys_Ed I have been uncertain about the setting of angles correctly sometimes. All the guides about doing this are for edge 810 / 510 and i have an 800. They say that you need to spin up to 90rpm and you then get a message saying 'vector installed' or 'angles set' or something.
However, I don't get this on my 800 as it's a pre-vector product so I don't think the software can do it or something. I still always do the spinning up to 90rpm etc etc but don't get the message on screen, and just hope it works; the results on the next ride are always realistic so i assume it's all fine.
Do you have any comments / feedback / advice on this? -

I originally used them with an 800 and the "setting of angles" is done by ensuring that the batteries have been removed for >10secs to clear the memory of the pods, then spinning up to >90rpm for a minute or so, levelling the cranks so both pods are downwards and performing a static calibration.
you are then supposed to do a dynamic calibration performed by back pedalling smoothly over 30rpm for 8-10 revs until a message pops up saying "Power Sensor Calibrated”
apparently this supposed to be done every ride, although the battery out bit can probably be left to when moving the pedals between bikes...
Did you mean to buy a double sided powermeter?
