  • had some unpleasant time wasting experience with mentioned guy as well (@PHRESHSLAYTE).

  • You know in the finale of some TV series they get all the classic characters to come back for one final, totally epic (but ridiculously contrived) episode that implausibly involves them all? That's happening with bad traders, right now! So many memories... Has anyone paged jonnyrau?

  • The old crew together for one last heist.

  • I'm picturing the final over indulgent scene from Sons of Anarchy, but with someone in a snapback, riding a brakeless baby blue fixie biek, hands spread out like a hipster Jesus on a collision course with a functional cargo bike.

  • When was this? And what are you referring to exactly?

Edit. For the forks. I fancied your forks so messaged you, then I didn't purchase the frame which I had intended them for so sent you a polite message saying I didn't need them. Something else came up. May MANY people on here change their mind. Get over it.

If I recall I was ready to meet straight away, however you couldn't until a while after my initial pm, so by then my initial plans had changed.

  • Hi xmicckax,

Thank you for your negative feedback and therefore I would like to apologize for putting you in trouble. Also I would like to react on your post as I don't feel to be a "BAD TRADER" as you have marked me above. I have sold you a pair of LOOK pedals in USED and working condition. Pedals has been ridden and I really didn't notice any issues with them. Honestly, I would rather bin them if I would known they are not suitable for sale and dangerous for any use. Please correct me if I'm wrong but pedals I've sold you had no warranty and brand new sealed LOOK cleats were included. Price was a little bit more than new set of LOOK cleats and I have travelled to meet you as I don't normally do.

I have sold many parts and I have no negative feedback at all. I have only positive feedbacks because I'm really careful what I'm selling. It would be more appreciated if you could contact me in PM and we could sort it out different way as I had one spare pair of LOOK pedals. It's very easy to write a negative feedback without any try to contact a seller.

My reply can't change the fact that I have sold you a faulty pedals not on purpose! Please accept my apology if you can and I would like to kindly ask to not leave any negative feedback. If you have any problems please contact me via PM.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Kind Regards

    Martin

  • Breaking Bad Traders?

  • Looking for some advice...

I recently paid (Paypal) for a nice looking frame advertised on this site. The seller was fairly new but appears to have made a successful sale to someone else, and their general style doesn't send out any warning bells.

I sent the money two weeks ago, and asked for a tracking code so I knew when to expect the frame. I was told it would be sent probably that Wednesday and would be provided with a tracking code then.

Since then I've received no more messages despite asking again for a tracking code.

What's the protocol here - I'm not in a rush and don't mind waiting a little longer for the frame, but the longer I wait without getting any messages, the more I suspect I'm being scammed.

  • Open paypal dispute and see if that jolts him in to getting his ass into gear, two weeks is more than enough time.

  • Yeah that's a long time to not be in touch, Paypal dispute for sure.

  • Hmm, ok will do. A bit hesitant to cause trouble if there's just honest slowness going on, but I guess you have to draw the line somewhere.

  • A couple of weeks of radio silence isn't great.

Do you know if the seller has been online since your last communication?

  • Thanks, since my last message (and PayPay dispute launched), the seller has been in touch and apologised for the delay, promising to get it sent out v soon. So fingers crossed it's all good.

  • And if it isn't good, name and shame the fucker on here!

  • ... PayPay dispute launched), the seller has been in touch...

    Well there's a surprise...

    Who was it?

  • No need to name and shame if it gets resolved.

  • Strange one...not complaining or saying anybody has done anything wrong, but not sure where to put this.

Sold a group to a guy on here with no problem at all but he was based abroad. I posted it via Parcelforce in a well-wrapped boot box. I kept an eye on the tracking, and it was held in customs for a few days, but I thought nothing of it.

Couple of days ago, I got a parcel on my desk when I came in in the morning. It was the shoebox, pretty much totally ripped apart, with no address label. It was sat in an open box with my work branding on (so the shoebox must have somehow arrived like that).

I checked the tracking and it had the following line:

    10/2/2016 15:54
Delivery Agent - Delivery Agent Attempted delivery

After this, they immediately sent the bloody parcel back to UK! Any idea why this is?

I'm sure the buyer and I can work something out as he seemed cool and I seem to have everything back in one piece, but I have no idea why they would just send it back. And also, how it managed to get here with no label or functioning box?!

  • Did you send it to France by any chance?

  • Non

  • No need to name and shame if it gets resolved.

Two weeks with neither goods nor explanation? They deserve a "trade with caution" flag.

Being highlighted in this thread serves two purposes: a prompt that they need to buck their ideas up and as a caution to potential purchasers.

  • how it managed to get here with no label or functioning box?!

I'd have a word with your mailroom: without an address it couldn't have got back to you.

  • I take your point, but I'd rather at least wait and see what happens first.

  • Exactly. What if some horrendous tragedy has befallen the seller, and we're here with pitchforks baying for blood?

  • dont forget the torches!

but yeah. chill out a bit witchhunters
