Have been reunited with my beloved Icelandic Surtur
They change it slightly every year. Last time I had it it was smoked using malts smoked in a traditional Icelandic smoke house, ie over sheep poo (I did not know that at the time of drinking). This year 8.2 is smoked and then barrel aged in Brennivin barrels and 30.1 is not smoked but barrel aged in bourbon barrels.
You can order these from http://www.101reykjavik.co.uk/ along with some other cracking Borg Beers (the snorri is excellent). I ordered these yesterday morning and they turned up an hour ago. Bloody swift.
