We got there about half 12 and queued for about the same as well... for some reason I didn't have any Gamma as I drink it all the time, first one for me was Mr Hyde, a 13% monster, I also ended up on this as well and that might've been my downfall. Had some lovely beers from Moor and Wild Beer as well... the main tent was actually quite toasty and one of the bands blew me away. Agree that they should do a summer one as well, would be nice to stand out in the sun instead of the cold... more toilets next time though please!!!
Also had a great time at Beavertown, got there at 1pm, queued for 3o minutes, didn't think it was too bad inside initially, abut 4pm we left as it was packed and not really enjoyable.
Great selection of beers on offer, I could have spent days in there. I enjoyed the following beers...
Beavertown
Double Chin - Double IPA - 8.5%
Gamma Ray – American Pale Ale – 5.4% (free in the queue)
'Spresso - Imperial Coffee Stout - 9.5%
Imperial Lord Smog Almighty - Imperial Smoked Porter - 11% (WOW!)
Kernel
London Sour Damson Berliner Weisse 2.3%
Mikkeller
New Mikkeller IIPA – Double IPA 7.9%
Spontanpeach – Spontaneously fermented ale with peaches 7.7%
Partizan
Raspberry & Lemon Saison – 4%
Got a Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde pack and a few cans to take away too. Would have liked to try more, but my Mrs. was frozen and it was getting a bit long queuing for everything.
Overall, I thought it was really well organised, and they did their best given the circumstances. Much rep for the volunteers who I am sure had a tough day. I don't think they could have predicted how busy it would be, I'm sure they will ticket the event in future. I hope they do something in summer as it is such a good space for events.
Went on to Wunderlust in Deptford for dinner and several more beers, can't recommend it enough if you are in South East.
