for this purpose i purchased a hope ring go starr. it doesnt work despite me carefully reading instructions and carrying them out.
I assume you mean a USE Ring-Go Star. Read the instructions again, and carry them out properly.
What's the steerer diameter? If it's 1", you may get on better with the Easton Bear Trap out of my parts bin
so peoples. im about the get creative with carbon. tell me if ill die or not.
i have a fork of a system called time stiff +.
theyre nice, light and in my possession
specific for this system is that the steerer tube is reinforced with a "+" aka cross. normal crabon specific bungs cannot be installed and one needs a different bearing loading system.
for this purpose i purchased a hope ring go starr. it doesnt work despite me carefully reading instructions and carrying them out.
my plan is now to drill out the reinforcement and install a bung (see pictures). ild do this straight and with caution.
the idea is that the carbon specific bung will act like the reinforcement seeing it is kinda solid.
is this stupid? will i die when i ride it?
tldr: want to put a in b by drilling a. is this suicide?
cheers, ruud
