I've been running the same pair of Durano Plus on the Kinesis for a few years now. The rear was fully squared off so I removed it for a bit but then thought again and put it back on to see how much life i could get out of it. They're stupidly long lasting. I think Durano might be all black - I had one of them on the training bike for many miles and might put them on again when I wear out the Rubino Pro that's about to give up on it.
So, I swap between Durano Plus, Durano, Rubino Pro and occasionally Mich Pro 4 Endurance for commuting and the MTB when the Kinesis is out of action.
The Durano Plus that I just took off the rear of my fixed gear was square as all hell and the centreline was more blue than black, had gone right through to the protective layer underneath. I'm not a skidder, that's just from riding.
