It's near Oxford isn't it? I'd still consider that 'near' but that's what I mean, it depends where you live and on your transport options. I'm already west and I could ride out and race it and ride back or drive if I wanted to go fast or train if the car was out.

Great thanks guyz. I guess by 'near' I meant no more than 1.5 hours drive from South London, but have family in Herts. so that makes things easier. All those courses seem close enough though so thank you!

Cheers man - may see you on the 23rd!

P885 course is south. I had a 50 PB on that for a while too. Not to say it's fast because of that but you get the idea.

P885 5o is a nice course. But there's a new version of the H50/8 at Bentley this year which only uses the faster, less bumpy bit. E2/50 will be way faster though, if you can get on it (I can't).

I wish they'd use a new course code if they create a new course.
14th May for the E2/50 - will I have to beg 'em for a spot?
EDIT: Forget it. I've already entered BCM 600k

They are, H50/8a

Ok. The Fifield course has tainted my expectations of course codes. Perhaps it's just people failing to note the full course code though. I couldn't find notices of variation for it.

Awesome

Cool, thanks Hippy - looks like a good one to try.

• #11712
Sorry, guilty on that count. CBA to put the 'a' in but I now see it would have been clearer!
-
• #11713
Not your fault, I was looking at the Fifield course weeks ago, you'd think I'd get over it eh? :)
Anyone know any good anger management clinics west london? :)
-
• #11714
Got a turbo? Ride that.
You'll be so bored you'll forget anger exists.Or take up boxing.
-
• #11715
I do ride it. It does nothing for me anger. In fact, I'm usually angry before and during it. Maybe a bit less so afterwards but that depends on if I hit my numbers or not. Fail and then I'm an even bigger prick than when I got on it.
I was enjoying weights/boxing/cross training stuff in the gym last year but my strength coach has fucked off with my money so now that's just made me angry - fuck that. I've been thinking about joining another gym for ages, actually getting a PT rather than joining a gym but same large expense. Probably better off just riding more and spending the dosh on go-faster bits.
-
• #11716
Yeah. Just spend it on beer.
-
• #11717
That helps with the anger. Not so much with the training.

TT bikes are so expensive! Was thinking of buying one but sheesh.

TT bikes are so expensive!
Only if you want them to be.

Any GOOD cheap ones about? Can't see many 54 P2s about.
Maybe I'll convert the track bike and race fixed for the odd tt.

There's been worse ideas

It's the future

Guess it depends what your definition of expensive is:

And lots of aero sessions.
Anyway, I know you can build a cheap 2nd hand bike and all.
What I was really getting at was I never realised the cost of a new one. Crazy money.
Yup. H10/17r is good, but a fair way from London. I haven't ridden it solo for years, but Tester and I did<21 on the tandem.
