Ah bollocks, it's 10-4pm. Got a bloody NCT class all day. Gah.

You can usually buy multipacks on Amazon for cheap, alternatively move up north and it's ~2.50 in both my local veggie shops :)

I'll ask Mrs c00ps where she gets hers...
Edit: Ocado or Amazon apparently.

What's 10-4? The So Vegan party is 2-8pm (although, obviously, the pub will remain open after that) and LVD is late and all night.
Would be lovely to see you.
Congratulations on the pregnancy!

Oh, must have read it wrong - thought it has happening 10-4pm. I'm not one for attention to detail. I'll see what I can do after NCT...

I have the same, a training course from 10-4, so aim to be at the Sovereign at around 5.

Damn it man, it was 10-4!

£4.50? It was less than £3 in WholeFoods South Ken and Clapham not long ago. It's £3 at Ocado but I tend to buy in bulk through Amazon, along with rice, tahini, tofu, nuts etc.

Umm, “veggans"?

'nooch' Is there another?

Thanks everyone. Amazon seems to be the path of least resistance, despite its dodgy ethics; definitely beats the Stokey whole foods. I'm a Budget Vegan or I'd consider ordering all my food from ocado for the convenience but it's usually morrisons for me.

You might enjoy Cheap Lazy Vegan..

I'm all about harm reduction, so if this encourages people to be more-vegan who otherwise couldn't hack it because "I can't give up eggs", great, but um... they're still not vegan? How is this a question?
Gotta say I was a little disappointed the article wasn't about synthetic eggs, or human eggs given with consent.

Apologizes for the comment-spam, but it would be criminal if I didn't share this buffalo mozzarella recipe with you all before I forget: http://www.artisanveganlife.com/a-better-buffalo-mozzarella/ (vegan, obvi). Agar powder can be subbed with cornstarch (2 parts cornstarch for 1 part agar).

That looks amazing

Sorry, Nick, I found out, too, when I arrived at 5:15pm. The Farcebonk page still said 2-8 when I checked after your earlier post.
I ended up going to LVD quite early, which turned out to be extremely good. Hope to see you there soon!

This is one of the exceedingly rare occasions when I'm not on the side of bad punning. :|
When I became a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, eggs were the first additional thing I removed from my diet, and I remained a lacto-vegetarian until I went vegan.
I've read about this issue that chicken sanctuaries have before. Of course, they generate a lot of eggs, and in some cases even the owners eat them. It's difficult to finance animal sanctuaries (unless you rescue donkeys, I suppose), and, of course, the hens don't care about unfertilised eggs they lay, so selling them seems logical. However, there are enough omnivores around to make that a success without 'veggans' being among the customers. Notwithstanding the finance issues, I still think eggs should simply be left (or transferred outside the sanctuary) for other animals than humans to eat, but of course understand why sanctuary owners make that decision.

Can't believe the story even got published... for one, as you all know, if you eat dairy, then you're not vegan, that's like me saying "I'm vegan, but I love a steak once a week". Idiots try and make it stand up by saying that the chickens are too old to lay enough eggs for the trade, so they're helping out by keeping them instead of them being killed... Good, well done that you're helping an animal and saving it from a pointless death... but to then say they're vegan friendly because of that... is pure bunkum!

I'm not sure why there even needs to be a label on it. This all or nothing attitude doesn't help anyone.

Very true @Dramatic_Hammer, I know a few people that just say they live a plant-based life, as a lot of the vegans they've met are pretentious idiots... all the vegans I've met are great people but I can understand why others would think we're all utter bores at the same time.

in nooch we trust!
it's about £2.50 in my local health food shop (baldwins) think you can also order it in bulk through places like fareshares
Might see if I can get along to that - would be good to see you.. In other news, it looks like we are moving to Harringay ladder fairly soon, so should be able to get to LV drinks more often. However, given that we are moving because we have procreated and he's almost due, my social schedule may be somewhat erratic...
