Almost any from the 500 upwards, by follow a route do you mean you want maps or just turn by turn directions? If maps start at the 800/810/1000.
Garmin head units are not used on train road.For that you need, a speed sensor and an ant+ usb stick for your pc/laptop.

Which garmin will let me follow a route, measure my hr, cadence, and be useful on trainer road? I have an edge 200 and a 705 that is on last legs.
