@Scilly.Suffolk - Basically what scrabble said. I don't believe its fair to charge the buyer for the insurance if they cannot collect in person etc. especially if its worth a fair bit of money.
@HousecatHST - If someone asked me to pay £25 for insured postage on a disc wheel I would pay it (depending on the price of the wheel). Its all good sending some pony £60 spoked wheelset not insured and within the UK as its less likely to get damaged or even lost but what I am asking about is for large value items. Wheels, frames worth £300+
There have been countless stories of the content of boxes getting mashed up by parcel force etc and the seller having to refund the buyer and then not receiving compensation from the courier due to not paying for insurance in the beginning.
