With just an 11.5mm spacer (no 0.5mm washer and the pre-load adjuster backed right off) I can only torque the crank bolt to 20Nm before the bearings start to bind.
Does anyone have an 8.5mm spacer spare?

I think headset spacers just drop straight in if you want to test that theory.
It was either those or off cuts from steerers - can't remember which.
