I had a tasting at the club recently where the Botrans were paired with a nice cuban. The 15 Reserva is also quite special. Botran have some processes that most other rum makers don't use - distilled from first cane pressing, not from molasses and aging at high altitude - that make for something quite different. Certainly better than any of the other island rums. I'll have to pick up a bottle before you come over for dinner.
And now @jaw is going to make me find some Nicaraguan ones too. *sigh
will look into it, looking for some Martinique rum, remember having a discussion with @DDM (dunwich destroyed me) and was supposed to get a bottle of amazing Martinique rum, from him, which never happened.
And also want to get some of the Ron Zacapa stuff, had some when I was in australia way back when and it was hella good
