And besides. You're wrong. Uci level teams will be allowed to use disc brakes in the 2016 events that they are allowed to if they chose to.

Also, cross and mtb are governed by British cycling and you can use discs as a free for all in either of those disciplines.

That will come down to British Cycling, while the uci may allow roll out for every level to use them, B.C. May still ban them. As you may or may not know sometimes their decisions are just because they say so. For example their banning of all video cameras being worn or attached to bikes during races. Even though the uci allow it, B.C. say no.

I'm just bitter cos I retrospectively read the BC rules on discs, after buying disc frame with the intention of starting some crit racing, thinking they'd follow suit with UCI allowing riders to use them.

That and Evans have put back the delivery date of my new frame 3 times and thus I'm going to be without training / commuting / everyday bike for 3 weeks....

a) Applicants for a race licence have to send a passport style photo and upload it to BC HQ when making the application.
b) If no photos is provided then they are asked to do so and the issuing of the licence is withheld till it arrives.
c) No licence= no ride other than with day membership and day licence.
James also pointed out that:-
a) Disc brakes are banned for races under a certain level. SW Region has no races so effectively disc brakes at not allowed in the SW Road and circuit races.
b) Cameras on the body, machine or helmet are banned. Breach if this id immediate disqualification and possible further disciplinary action.

These are from the last SW workgroup meeting.

You have the option to upload a photo to your license this year, but no where does it say it is mandatory. Expect bc are now saying it is. But I've already got my license because I pay by direct debit annually. So I have a blank laminated license I can't stick a photo to. But if you haven't paid for your license yet, when you do, they'll withhold it until up upload a passport photo.

Yeah I've always got the cards with the laminate, moving forward are they pre-printing the license with a photo?
