After the whole crank arm came off during an Iron Man thanks to a shop mechanic doing something terribly wrong on the pre-race service a few years ago, I don't think he trusts anyone (with his bike).
@Pifko I may be interested personally but won't have money for a while, but dad's definitely a buy-new kinda guy (slowly you lot can see why I have so much trouble getting him away from Mavic and Shimano?)
I told him I referred to him as a Mamil after he turned his nose up at the DT's.
Thanks all. I was misinformed, turns out it's 11 speed Ultegra, not 10 speed. Confused information etc.
Looks like the RS81's are the winner. Dad fears the unknown with this bike stuff I guess, I tried to sell the merits of DT Swiss, but he'd never heard of them used by anyone we know, so that was a flop.
