Getting round to fitting the Cervelo OE 3D+ cranks to a BB30 frame. Even with the cranks off the frame, I can't get my callipers in to measure up for the spacers.
With only the bearing cover on the DS and the arm pushed up against the frame, the chainline is good and the arms are evenly spaced either side of the chain stays.
I'm measuring a gap of +/-9.5mm on the NDS (can only get a tape measure in there) but there is still slack in the system at this point.
I've found two different manuals which specify either 11.5mm and 0.5mm spacers on both the NDS and DS or 11.5mm and 1mm on the NDS and just 11.5mm on the DS.
Velotech insist I have to have the spider replaced at a cost of £70.
I was going to order an 11.5mm spacer and a pair of 0.5mm unless anyone has a better idea...
PS P2M list the spacer as 11.3mm (Velotech don't sell them individually): I assume this is just a typo, or is this yet another twist?
I'm pretty sure the central part of the slightly conical 11.5mm spacer shown on the Rotor 3D+ manual is slightly deeper in the middle than at the edges, which could explain the discrepancy. I'll try measuring one when I get home.
