Honestly I reckon you'll be fine, if you have been used to massive chainring for eons, then the low to mid range of the cassette will be comforting with the 50t chainring.
If you intend to use that bike for touring at some point in the future, 34/32 is plentiful for loaded alpine climb.
WARNING; continental does not developed similar warning panels on the front of the locomotive/trains so be wary of approaching cyclists whom does not sport such warning.

To be honest, I hear that if you want to stay out of hospital on the continent, its the British motorists you need to look out for. Giant-Alpecin have reportedly approached @coldharbour to repaint their headtubes.
I'm in Scotland next week with a small dog in a trailer, or 'the carriage', so I'll give the gears a good going over I'm sure.
