Yay.
Which courier did it arrive via?
-
• #3703
Yeah would be interested to find out which courier was used. if it was indeed Royal Mail/Parcelforce then thats about £10 profit for the seller...
-
• #3704
ParcelForce, the tracking code was just wrong.

The wheel has holes in it?
-
• #3706
Well just a few little ones. The company that made it cut a big 7cm circular hole through the wheel for the valve, so I'm assuming a couple of <1cm holes on one side don't matter too much.

• #3707
Wut?

• #3708
So a disc wheel? Carbon. With holes in it...
This one:

http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/279318If so, then the photography is misleading if you've been left with a disc wheel with extra holes in it...

• #3709
I'm guessing its a disk wheel
-
• #3710
You've been mugged off.
-
• #3711
Wasn't that guy previously dodgy as fuck as well?
-
• #3713
Aye that's the one. The stickers covered most of the naughtiness :-P
It's only minor damage to the non-driveside. -
• #3714
Still, if that's not mentioned and deliberately covered up that's seriously shady.

Well it's my first disc wheel so I guess I didn't know what I should be asking and stuff. Still spins and whatnot so it'll do the job. I don't want anything too fancy looking in case people start expecting me to have the skills to back it up ;-)

Well it's my first disc wheel so I guess I didn't know what I should be asking and stuff.
So that's where we're at? It's fine to leverage the ignorance of others for our own profit?
@James. he thought he was buying an undamaged wheel, which isn't what he's received.
I'm sure the wheel was damaged when you bought it and you were unaware of this when you sold it. However, you described the condition as: "... a couple scuffs..." and "... nothing on the other side...".
You are responsible for ensuring the description is accurate.
Please can you contact Richard and either arrange for the wheel to be returned (at your expense) and he receive a full refund, or that he gets a partial refund: the choice as to which this will be is his.
Thanks in advance!

I havent sold anything on here (or elsewhere for that matter) yet but is it really annoying to have been lead on by a potential buyer for a while and then dropped due to a change in mind? Or is this something you would expect and simply hope not to happen?
-
• #3720
Your @ to James brings up a different James, strangely...
-
• #3721
that's considered bedwetting tbh. If buyer was 'leading you on' and another person suddenly popped up with both raging one-incher for your wares and the readies then you'd have flogged it, wouldn't you? Works the other way around, if someone's no sure granted, it's a pain in the pisser but it's not like they've come round your house, flirted with your gran and eaten their body weight in rich teas whilst deliberating, or is it?
-
• #3722
Thanks good to know. I'm a bit of a flakey buyer and always feel incredibly bad when I even have thoughts of getting the other option.
-
• #3723
if the seller is making an extra tenner on the wheel that is a bit cheeky, glad it turned up in the end. when you say holes do you mean the same holes on the thread or more hidden under stickers? similar thing happened to me once except it was a massive crack, and a random sticker, not a wheel decal, so definitely pre-meditated!
-
• #3724
Couple of holes where the carbon has broken, some cracks 3cm long. They had stickers over them, in retrospect I should have wondered why the stickers were there :-P The drive side is ok though!
I could post a picture? I don't want to make this into a big thing tho if it isn't :-/

• #3725
It sounds broken, that'd make it a big thing. Is it just fairing over a wheel or is the crabon all structural? Either way seems dodgy selling but at least it's is fairing the wheel should be safe enough.
Great Odin's Raven! THE WHEEL HAS ARRIVED!
So disregard my previous posts I guess. Has a few holes in it, but nothing major so all's well that ends well.
