On the subject, any recommendations for a 23mm wide, tubeless rim, for rim brakes?
Seems all of Stan's wide rims are disc only.
Velocity A23s are good with tubes, but my tyres are pretty baggy on them, so they burp and are tough to get to seat properly when used tubeless (and that is the newer, tubeless compatible A23).
I'm happy with the Bontrager wheelset I'm racing on at the moment, but the rims are not available aftermarket, and a radial laced 18h front wheel isn't going to last long on mountain bike trails once racing season is over.
