I'm hoping the reason they switched to OSM is so in future they can offer their own turn by turn navigation (probably for premium members only, but would be cool for those who don't already have a Garmin).
Seems pointless/odd that you can plan a route and follow it in Strava (feature which started on old Google Maps) but you can't have the option of turn by turn commands, which are a feature of the Google Maps app.
I think the swap relieved them of a lot of legal contractual guidelines.

I don't know if it's been discussed recentley but open maps on starva is bullshit. Is it impossible they'll go back to using Google?
