I'm amazed he lasted as long as he did.

Oh no. This is one of my favourite songs (although I don't like the rest of his work much):

The Rapture is going to have an excellent soundtrack.

Of course, Glenn Frey never touched the stuff.

He was a paragon of virtue.

Has anyone seen the BlackStar video? It's fuckin creepy.
Somebody, hand on heart, tell me that Bowie made a decent tune after Scary Monsters.
-
• #5111
Didn't know this
Also, if anyone needs another reason to like Bowie, he refused a Knighthood.
though.
For which I love him.
-
• #5112
He didn't
-
• #5113
I thought he declined a CBE and a Knighthood?
-
• #5114
sorry my reply was in relation to did he make a decent tune after Scary Monsters
Ashes to Ashes perhaps though
-

That was on Scary Monsters ...
I guess Let's Dance is kinda catchy. I hated it at the time. Now I kinda dig it.
I'd actually quite like an edumacation on the Bowie canon, I'm not really into it. So what the hell do I know. Perhaps there was something brilliant after Let'S Dance.
But Backstar is REALLY creepy. Like, satanic creepy.

Let's Dance (album) also had China Girl and Modern Love, both good but different.
Blue Jean was a few albums later, late 80s.

Ah, I see.
I don't agree but the beauty of music is that it's subjective.

I personally love Blackstar. A work of genius. I actually like Everyone says Hi. A sweet song and very poignant.
A thought on the Blackstar video: Was the astronaut Major Tom? I think it was. -
• #5121
wow, deeep.
Kerning on meme is good.
-
• #5122
general LUCIFER says the obviously occult-drenched Backstar is a work of genius. Go figure.
-
• #5123
Haven't heard Everyone Says Hi yet. Will seek it out, thanks.

Black Tie White Noise is one of my favourite albums, Bowie or otherwise. Slick and super cool (in a good way).
Great cover this:
