Yeah Lyon were desperate for the cash and to get a high wage earner off the books, but there are good/great keepers out there available for less than £12m as long as you know where to look, and what your clubs playing style needs..

You wouldn't get a player of his calibre into the PL for that sort of money these days I reckon. There will be the PL TV bonanza add-on.
There's plenty of talented goalkeepers around at the moment and a lot of clubs are in financial peril so deals can get done.
£8M for a GK gets you a Europa League quality player that should be decent enough to play for a top 10 PL side.
Butland deal looks like another excellent piece of business from Stoke.
