I like loud fast paced music for going faster and podcasts for stymying boredom on longer rides on familiar routes. Usually about board games (other topics are available).

Added to calendar. If I'm around I'll try and ride it.

You're cycling. That should be enough.

It's a Perm 200k leaving from Kew Bridge.

Willy Warmer - Good cold fun
-
• #4582
The world around is more than enough. Plus your mind is infinitely deep.. How do you get bored?
-
• #4583
Wow that was so so cold. The Willy Warmer, that is.

How were the roads on the WW today? Any icicles?
-
• #4585
A tiny bit, no problem though.

Asked a guy at Lambourn if he was warming up and he replied that his willy was not warm.

Doc about PBP https://vimeo.com/ondemand/brevet
Will probably order a digital copy tomorrow.

Probably of no interest whatsoever but this was on German telly for the last three month of last year.

Looks cool.
I'd only buy it if I was in it though. Particularly the scene outside the toilets during our 9hr control stop... ;)

The only thing I regret from PBP is not getting that free crepe on the bridge into Brest.

I use it fairly sparingly but if I have a sense of humour failure I use one of those skull conducting headphone things and either listen to music or podcasts - I have a bunch saved on my iPhone for when I'm travelling. Found it quite helpful on a ride in Cornwall where I was heading into a strong headwind for the entire second half of a 100-miler - towards the end I was pretty cold/tired and without the music I would have been a hell of a lot grumpier.

Yeah and would've liked a photo there too.

I just saw the film, subtitles help because it's all in German, but the 4 bonus video doesn't have any subtitles ...
Have anyone seen Damon Peacock about LEL and/or PBP? Last PBP Doc is also in vimeo

Ok, if you've done your RRtY, now it's all about doing a Super Rando Around the Year...
Certainly think it's doable but not sure it's enjoyable :)
-
• #4595
Can you do the same event for an RRtY or not? The same 200km perm every month for instance.
-
• #4597
Yep. I think I did the Boat Trip Perm about three times, for example.

Hi folks,
I'm french as some of you noticed it and my English isn't perfect. Since few months I'm riding audax and long distance. I decided to create a fb page, in order to help people following me, or just share and enjoy.
In French, the project "Un vélo pour des mots" is what you could translate by "From Literature to biking" and vice-versa...
My very last post have been translated in English, and it will always be the case if English readers suscribe!

Rode the Straight outta Hackney route today. Super nice route and though it was negative degrees for more than half of the ride it was so bone dry that I was fine.

Yeah, I watched Damon's latest the other evening. Pretty good but I am not sure it caught enough suffering :-)
