I think that was my downfall today.. Old Rapha winter tights without the DWR! It was my knees that were cold... I love my PT bibs and therefore are tempted by the winter versions but don't want to be caught short on a day like today!

I rode 9 hours in standard winter tights. No coldness for me.

Side by side, would a standard piece of toast take 3 willies?
-
• #24435
not on a soya or gluten free loaf, no.

• #24436
Unless of course, your pizzles in your sandwich are light on meat.

I've had my winter jersey over a year and today finally found the right sort of weather for it.

Anyone have the 3/4 bibs ?
-
• #24439
Thinkin about reproofing the PTJ with muc off fabric protect. Anyone tried it?
-
• #24440
The back doesn't have any kind of treatment. So in adding a proofer to the fabric you will loose the breathability of the back material. I think? Not sure what muc off fabric protect is.
-
• #24441
It's just a DWR like Grangers or NikWax. Should be fine, won't reduce breathability.
-
• #24442
Yeah it's a spray on treatment, so the plan was to just to the front and the arm panels. Will give it a go I think
-
• #24443
standard willies?

Loving that Gregg's is appearing on this site!

Not that pricey...

What's the fit like on the standard long sleeve jersey?
Large PT stuff fits brilliantly. I have a somewhat snug medium brevet though. I couldn't decide and ordered large.
-
• #24447
There are a lot of bulldog clips on the back of that jersey.

do I have a physical condition if my thumbs froze after wearing dhb liners and rapha deep winter gloves this morning? Garmin said -0.1c

Were your hands and gloves warm when you started?
If so then yes it sounds like it. I'd visit the GP or try the Internet Diagnosis Thread. It sounds like you have cold thumbs.

Were your hands and gloves warm when you started?
Yes, locking door was fun. Its always just the thumbs. I found holes in my 5 year old gore gloves that I replaced with deep winter last weekend hoping to keep my hands warm. User error clearly.
Your never more that 25 steps in Newcastle from a bloody Greggs.
They even have one open til 4am the fat Geordie Mackems
