  • Small perennial wildflower meadow. I did a lot of research and am planning to use this mix in our garden, it's an 80/20 mix of meadow grass and wildflowers:

    Low maintenance - only needs cutting once a year - and will look lovely come spring/summer.
    Provides a great habitat for insects etc. Super cheap as you only need one packet of seeds which is £6. If you like you can cut it with a scythe!

    More expensive than seed obviously but results within a 6 month period. Dig up old lawn or prepare the patch, lay and off you go. I'm planning on also putting my own seeds that I've collected down before the rolls.
