Sydenham and Beckenham were top of my list but unless we top up our debt significantly they're out of reach. Having considered most places between Brixton and the Kent coast we're currently flirting with the idea of Eltham and Petts Wood.
Don't want to come across as moaning as we're really in away better position than we have any right to be - but shopping around for houses both in and out of London really does drive home how totally fucking bananas the London market is.

I could get a 4 bed detached house with detached garage just outside Belfast for the same price we paid for our 2bed maisonette. Although, Neither of us would have a job if we lived there so the comparison is pointless.

Lived on DoverField Rd for a few years loved it, Basement Jaxx did a monthly night at The Telegraph pub, Rooty which was awesome and we had some great nights down at the George IV.
Now ones a Tesco's and the was boarded up last time I rode that way. Shame

I had some very messy nights in the Telegraph when I was living at the bottom of Brixton Hill ...
Never liked the George much though
Currently trying to figure if we can get some kind of extension on the back of our property in a conservation area. General consensus is "No" so if we have kid no 2 they'll be in bunks
Culturally Perth is very similar to Brixton too.
