  • Apparently its going to be a good winter because a goose migrated early and squirrels are very busy. Has anyone got anything booked yet?

  • dooeeeees anyone have an old(OLD) iron they want rid of? preferably with no holes but beggars cant be choosers. Need to wax my board and prevent some incompetent 'expert' doing it for £3.2million and returning it a week later.

  • my local store only has ones with holes in.

    Thanks anyway buddy

  • if anyone has an old park board they want rid of let me know. want a back up in case there is no powder in jan. the noodlier the better.

also if anyone is looking, there some cheap deals at serre chevalier at the end of jan/beginning of feb. we got a 5/6 chalet for 6 nights 1080 (uncatered). flights to turin can be had for £100 too.

  • looking for a shop in London that will have a massive selection of gloves... need some new ones, but I have to try-before-I-buy as I'm size 2 or 3XL and it's a royal pain finding ones that fit. Suggestions?

  • try the snowboard asylum in the basement of ellis brigham covent garden
there's also snow and rock on the other side of CG..
    the selection is OK...
    also try any tkMaxx tbh!

  • thanks, will head to CG then....

  • agreed on the TK Maxxxxxxx!!!

  • Anybody got any trips planned? We have just booked a week in L'Alpe D'Heuz , mainly because it was cheap. Anyone been? Unfortuantly it looks to be one of the few places in the alps which isnt getting dumped on at the minute, hopefully that all changes by February.

  • Alpe D'Heuz is nice, loads of runs for all ranges, two decent board parks, loads of remote Café cabins to find when you're going down the back runs. don't remember any tree runs which was a shame, but the view of Mont Blanc from the top is awesome.

  • damnit.. I knew I should have looked at this thread.. now I will spend the morning watching snowboarding vids and checking prices haha, well it is Friday

  • Just got a new jib board so good to know they have a couple of decent parks. I read that there is a lack of tree runs aswell which i'm pretty gutted about. There seems to be a lack of guides to get to decent off piste areas compared to other resorts aswell.

I have next week off work and the desire to book something today to leave tomorrow is strong.

  • Its pretty high isn't it? Should explain lack of trees. Went 10 years ago. High and lots of snow was what i remember. Got 2 trips to morzine planned. First trips after 2 dry seasons due to baby arrival.

  • Nearly there.....

  • I'm going to Chamonix tomorrow.. too much excite.

  • Enjoy the powder! Very jealous

  • thanks dude.. gutted that I wasn't able to get my boots/board from Greece in time, but I have my other gear and I'm sure they have very decent rentals... while I'm here, any recommended rental shops there?

  • No boarding for me this season...

Would love to see what this bad boy is like.

  • Courchevel in March. Never been.

  • Which level - lower down is more fun & cheaper, higher up is more Russian influence and expensive
Three valley pass is awesome - especially as there is also a 4th valley you can check out over to the back right of merbiel

  • All set up...suppose I better get out there 🤔🏂👌🏼

  • Yeh I'm down at 1650, I already heard about the Russian money being splashed at 1850 haha. A friend of mine is doing a season and said they all go down to 1650 to go out.

4th Valley in the 3 Valleys? Seriously? hahah

  • I did La Tania a couple of years ago, There is a surprising amount of quilted designer onesies and fur hats in Courchevel

  • Perfect place to debut my quilted designer onesie.....

I've heard Courchevel/3 valleys as a whole is pretty good though? two parks and a bit of off and side piste action?
