  • I think my mate's getting an M2. His fiancee's M235 was stolen, recovered, and then his dealer fucked up the repair, apparently BMW UK are offering them over value trade in as goodwill.

  • My normal 2 series just looks sad now i've watched that video. Booooo.

  • The more i see of the M2, the less impressed i am with it.
I like the arches. Thats about it.

My M135 interior with all the Mperformance bits is much nicer.

  • I do like the M135 interior, almost as nice as the M3, but pics are one thing, I'd have to sit in the M2 before saying whether I like it or not. M235 feels too boxed in compared to the 1 and the 3, and I'm tiny...

  • M4 felt more compact inside than my car. I think the seats take up a lot more space. M2 has the same seats as me.

I'm tempted to just turn my car into a sleeper M killer once the warranty is up.

  • Yes, please do that

  • Obviously I'd still take a 1M over it, LOVE those ridic arches and superdeformed face, shame about the prices

  • In my minds eye the E30 is still the bigger car

  • That image kind of highlights the vulgarity of modern tastes... and the e30 is from the 80's!

  • I've got an M2 on order, delivery scheduled for next Dec. I ordered it the day after it was announced. Very excited though.

  • Fuck offfff!

  • Only joking, nice one, someone's presenting at board level!

  • Curse my arts degree and zero motivation

  • I'm not paying cash and keeping it forever, unless I get lucky on the lottery; I'm hoping that supply constraints mean I can drive it for a year and not make too much of a loss due to depreciation.

  • Pretty certain they'll hold their value as long as BMW don't suddenly break out in a fit of generosity and send us a couple of thousand more

  • I remember seeing that for sale. Didn't a guy from green day own it or something?

I've just got back from aus with a list of cars I'd love to take out there to sell and a bigger list of cars to bring back.

  • Holden Kingswood's are a bit big for British roads...

  • Ha. That one I posted on fb is exactly like one I had.

The cars I'd bring back would be European. You could take some yanks there and make a few dollars.

  • So you're not a Ford man then?

  • Now my dad have finally choose a crossover he wanted, which is the new Toyota RAV4 hybrid (petrol/electric), figure seemed impressive with 0-60 in 8.4 second and a reasonable mpg.

Trouble is, he's very adamant that he need the 4x4 option ( plus winter tyres), which frankly isn't necessary.

He's not gonna go off roading on it, Especially in the Pyrenees in winter, 4 grand is a lots for the 4x4.

Anyone here live near mountains ever need 4x4?

  • If he's off roading or going to somewhere that doesn't clear the roads then 4x4 is a great idea. If its road use only then don't bother, a little skinny-wheeled front drive hatchback on winter tyres will go places a 4x4 won't in the snow.

  • My sentiments too, except he wanted all the latest gadget and raised ground clearance.

Can't do anything about encouraging him in getting a normal cars, especially when there's not many choice of engine that have a 2.5ltr 200hp hybrid.

  • I had a Chav4 years ago for work.

    Diabolical thing it was too.

  • Just tell him all his problems will be solved by reducing his tyre pressure, Ed.

That's what you do with everybody else.
