I think you are a bit stuck in the aero dept, life is not all about shaving 0.004/sec off.

Looks super study, I'm jealous!

It's not about the aeros. The sweep should go the other way so that the spider arms are in compression, which puts the chainring hoop stress into tension and keeps them circular. If you have the spider arms in tension, the chainring hoop stress is compressive and the rings want to buckle. That's why brake disc rotors are the shape they are, and have a defined direction of rotation
Ofmega Mistrals are not going to explode in flames as soon as you start pedalling, but once you've seen what's wrong with them you can't unsee it.

I think that is the appeal, so using them with elliptical rings should negate that then?

NoQ rings should be fine, just make sure you use something solid to resist the urge of the chainring to collapse into something the shape of cyclodecane :-)

gave
From what I can see that looks alright. I might sell further down the line and get something a little more flash. Although considering I didn't pay a lot I'm not having panic attacks every time it's out of sight. A proper track frame would be nice though. I'll keep saving...

I really don't understand what this handlebar shit is about but whatever it is you can stop because the bar actually sits just above wheel!! Camera angle is confusing all of you.
Cheers for the nice comments anyway, I'm itching to test ride it but I need the weather to dry up...

is jokez, yes

All well and good if you only ride on the tops or ramps, but the first time you take a corner and you're on the hooks, you're going to lose the skin off your knuckles!
Try a shorter tyre: ie 23s, rather than 23c.

are you getting the itch again?

Not for sweet sweet fixie. I am for riding fixed again, though. I'm gonna buy a Genesis Flyer fairly soon though for road fixed. New one is wunderbar.
