If you really desperately must have something sweet and can't face trying to quell the craving fannying about with carrots or fruit, a small piece of very high cocoa dark choc tends to do the trick, and means you're not going to drive yourself mental depriving yourself of the good stuff.
I meant 'fannying about' as in trying to replace a genuine craving with something else - which tends to not actually put an end to that craving, meaning you eat the substitute (fruit) but then the chocolate too anyway...
