29er rims are the way to go.
Have mtx33's on mine and they fit really nicely with 35's

Thanks for the tips guys.

Seeing those pictures hurts even more...
Dom used mtx33's and as solid as they are, he found himself restricted to 35+ tyres. I used 23mm rim and could fit anything between 23 and 38 on that frame with same type of rims. Unless your going downhill on it, leave 29er rims alone.

By the way, the exact wheels in those pictures are still available, mack's with A23's. They're on a Samson atm, but would like some silver wheels for it.

@b&d you going to use Brooklyn stickers or have them painted?
-
• #59
I'm still undecided at the moment.
I'm probably going to use the Porsche font, but call it "Porklyn".

we had a lovely afternoon truing the wheels @b&d has picked up for this bike.
2 men with all the gear (truing stand, dishing tool, spoke tension meter) taking an inordinate amount of time to do something an lbs would do in 15 minutes. our progress was strangely hampered by the 10 double espressos we drank in the process.
great to catch up, we should go and see @metrocammell for pizza soon

Always a pleasure to see a serene, country squire-esque DJ in his natural habitat.
Two well behaved dogs, coffee, terrible cake (that I brought) and a charmingly delightful partner make for a man who is clearly happy with his lot.
So envious of his man-cave...

"hampered by the 10 double espressos we drank in the process" Seriously hampered? You guys could have rebuilt all the wheels on this forum whilst buzzing off that lot.

Hmm - never met the fella, so I thought it might be a bit cheeky.
Also, I'd completely forgotten the BDW connection.
Isn't 'Slain busy perving on Bondi?
