Missing helmet and right arm though.
I found an X-01 helmets on the Prydwen in the armory, wasn't in Teagan's inventory, so I unlocked the door (via terminal), pick it up and carried it far away from anyone, then drop it in my inventory.
So far so good.
Now time to find the rest of the X=01 suit...

I need an arm, never used the thing.

Mix it up, can't be any worse than how the raiders build their.

I've not avoided using it because it's not complete, just seems pointless with my sneaky, snipey character. Most things don't get close to me. I'll use it when I head to the land of all the rads.

really ? I think it looks a bit meh. I have everything on Ultra at 1440p. Still disappointed. Flat garbage textures everywhere. I'm waiting for someone to redo them (not the reduced set)

So X01 armour makes it a bit easy. I have a full set, all MK VI. I basically gave up with sniping. Just walk into a place cause everyone to run at me, shoot in head with shotgun.

I'm with Kirth on the visuals. Plenty of atmosphere but the textures and particularly shaders are pretty shit compared to something like Witcher 3.
The LODs don't even adjust when you use a scoped weapon, which is terrible.

Graphic wise, it is meh, but I always find it stunning, the decay, building, vehicles, etc.
Much like how Red Dead Redemption's graphic isn't great but still visually stunning.

£500 plus shipping for an Oculus Rift.
Balls to that.

Ha! The Elite Dangerous / Horizons FB page is full of angry EU players and laughing US players at the moment.

Red dead is the game that's stopping me from binning my Xbox. So good.

Got my new copy of Morrowind in the mail earlier today. Did an install with the OpenMW engine. 120FPS in Balmora. Amazing what these guys are doing!

Dying Light is pretty good. Got a proper adrenaline rush at one point.

Re: Oculus Rift price - is it not, essentially, the same as the US price once VAT is taken into account?
-
• #14591
Yup. £8 difference at today's exchange rate. Seems pretty fair to me.

I keep getting tempted by giving that a go but the parkour element puts me off, not too much of a part of it is it?

120FPS in Balmora.
With or without MGSO/MGE?

Less than assassin's creed (thus far, anyway). It's more of a tool to get away from zombies.

Doesn't sound too unreasonable for a device with a pair of very small 1080p displays along with the head-tracking tech and anything else they bundle in there.

They are currently not compatible with OpenMW, but the graphics are generally much better than in vanilla. I reckon that even with graphics enhancing mods, OpenMW can make it possible to run extremely smooth without the need for a NASA machine.

Have you tried any of the Little Big Planet games? Not sure if it would be too "kiddie" for your family, but the first game had good 2 player (or more) modes.
-
• #14598
They're higher than 1080pi and need to run at higher frame rates to reduce motion sickness.
-

Dont forget the TitanX you'll need to buy just to run games like Elite Dangerous at 90fps.

1080x1200 per eye.
The DK2 was 960x1080 which I thought was pretty shit. Great for rollercoaster demos etc., but for games where you have to focus your attention on something specific the pixels were very obvious. I may have been tempted by the consumer release if it were a similar price to what they originally suggested, but over 50% more expensive and no significant increase in resolution I'm not interested.
Will see what HTC/Valve come up with, but I can see myself waiting until the second or third generation of these things.
