  • ok so this wind sucks. yes southern hemispherians, it's all cute that you can smash out 150km in sunshine and blue skies. the rest of the world doesn't give a monkeys.

  • It was one, but I should've split it into three. Forgot the lap button.

  • I'll sleep when I'm dead. Which should be in the next few months the rate I'm going.

  • That's what the Country filter is good for. Anyone riding in Aus or NZ can do one.

  • Headwind out rain headwind back....only 50km but it's a start. Didn't see many others out and about.

  • To think that you could do the 500 in less than 24 hours. :)

  • I can do 500 miles in less than 24hrs. Doesn't mean I want to :)

  • Miles planned today 80
    Actual 0

  • 1/4 done. It was wet and windy out there.

  • This is going to be a very slow Festive 500. Comical HR for my 65km ride today. At least I managed to get all the way round. Hoping for magical health improvement over night. So much for some longer rides whilst out of London.

  • Absolute pleasure riding with @amey @Sparky @Moserism today.
    Thanks gents :-)

  • Horrid weather in Wales for the next 3 days at least, might manage 500 metres

  • Boom

  • Fine for you lazy shits that have sponsors instead of jobs :P

  • That's a lot of laps of Regent's Park.

  • For today's ride I wore my new Gabba short-sleeve and my nanoflex arm warmers. Did I stay dry and toasty? No, not at all- wet through by the end of the ride, albeit still fairly warm. Hard shell for tomorrow and the Gabba can get in the bin.

  • Chapeau! I've got a similar ride planned for tomorrow. (180km, 2300m)

Good thing I'm in Lanzarote. :D

  • Ah balls, I did a 50 mile ride today and forgot to set my strava :(

  • Thanks all (@amey @Moserism @OneLessCardigan) for dragging me around. I'm destroyed now. By the end Amey was basically babysitting me and I was in a pickle. Then he tried to throw himself under a bus. Funny old day.

  • But you were warm, so what's the problem. I did 80 odd in my gabba earlier and wouldn't have warn anything else, it was perfect. It was perfect for the blustery and dry first 40 miles. It was also perfect for the following 40 very wet and windy miles. It completely takes away the what to wear guessing game.

  • Easy for people who don't have to spend all day stood up at work! I managed to extend the commute home to 30 miles of blissful moonlit countryside. Actually quite glad I didn't ride in the morning. saving the centuries for next week.

  • Then he tried to throw himself under a bus.

    Standard

  • Slip in judgement. Close call. He said after: "I was too tired to panic."

  • It's also easy for people who've not ridden today!

I've zero chance of doing this too, the joys of parenthood.

Let's hope the weather next week is a bit more agreeable.

  • Gabba can get in the bin.

    lol

I wore PT softshell base, PT jersey, classic wind jacket, PT thermal bibs and DHB knee warmers. Same as you i.e. wet but warm. Quite happy with that.

    Epic ride @Sparky @Moserism @OneLessCardigan
