Obama is charging us too much for the nukes that Trident uses (or doesn't use as the case may be).

I like the quote
Iain Newell, European director of craft beers at AB InBev, said: “We have a passion for great beer.
“Camden Town is a creative business with a great range of brands that will complement our existing portfolio.”Admittedly I went off them when they tried to sue a brewey for using the name Hells Lager

I got told by a barman in a craft pub place that Camden had already been sold and was being brewed in Belgium. Was that not true at the time?
-
• #38658
Yes they had already sold a stake to a "Belgian family" which they are saying were not InBev and they have been brewing in Belgium. They also had some crowdfunding very recently so everyone who went for that is now mega pissed off. Apparently the InBev deal was only done today so they can build a brewery in Enfield but all sounds fishy to me.

They're saying people who crowd funded would get a big return now?
If I had funded them, and then got a return when they 'sold out' and could sell my shares for a profit, I wouldn't be too pissed off. I'd just take them and re-invest in a better company.

Very true, a lot of people are annoyed that they've "sold out" to a big company when the crowdfunding was pitched at a staying small and growing independently level with the beer fans in mind. People get very sentimental about breweries and forget it's actually a business and it's really all about money at the end of the day. Bit like when people claim a band has sold out.
I'm not fussed, I don't particularly like their beer but InBev are merging with SAB Miller and will be selling off smaller companies when it happens (already plan to sell Meantime) so I wouldn't be happy with the uncertainty surrounding that if I were Camden.
They also keep referring to it as partnership when InBev owns them outright.

Didn't they also use that crowd funded money to open a pub next to E-Mono in Kentish Town?Their pub also just so happens to sell kebabs, and for cheaper than E-Mono.

Cross post - Quelle surprise - the economy under Osborne is being propped up on £40 billion personal debt, and yet is still fucked.
telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/12063710/George-Osbornes-deficit-target-in-doubt-as-borrowing-climbs-in-November.html
When is he going to learn that he needs to borrow and invest in things that will grow the economy, keep people in work, and increase tax returns.

Went for a pint at Camden's daughter and a kebab at E Mono afterwards (small business, innit). Camden's Daughter was trying to be many things at once - pub, 'bab shop, cafe - not entirely successfully. E Mono kebab was amazing.

Will it be doing monster munch sandwiches?
You could stick them on square plates and charge a fortune.

Green Lanes has had posh kebab for longer than that. Any takeaway kebab that comes with actual meat, rice pilaf, bread, side salad, a couple of tubs of sauces and a yoghurt has hit posh kebab I think.
