Any idea whether I'd need 168mm or 173mm rear QR, of those two XT ones you'd linked? And will a regular front road Shimano QR do the trick, or is the XT front one likely to be better somehow?
The different length are to fit thin/thick droupouts. There's probably a SI document somewhere which gives actual dimension limits, but the short one is probably right for most frames. FWIW, I have a 163mm Ultegra here which clamps down to 142mm max overall width across dropouts, so the 168 should cover up to 147mm.
A road front will work fine, but you might as well be a tart and get a matching pair :-)
I didn't take it that way. DT/Bike24 did you a favour by not supplying skewers, if they had you'd probably have been tempted to use them, and the ones which come with R24s are pretty cheap and nasty. They're fine for use with rim brakes, but the front disc brake is always trying to spit the wheel out of the fork end, so you need a decent QR if you're unfortunate enough to be stuck without a through axle for the time being.
