  • I want glow in the dark for my Porklyn project.

  • Doesn't look like they come in 130 BCD. That's a real shame*
    Bike looks cracking Matt.
Hope you ride home down the hill on it to test it out on Christmas eve.

    *NOT

  • Now I want a balance bike.

  • good fuckin god this is rowdy as fuck!
truly insane. stop makin big people bikes and stick to rad kids

  • this makes me tempted to have kids....

  • Now I want a balance bike.

    The hipster trend for 2016

  • How does the backwards crown on the fork help with stability? (I'm sure that was what was said a few pages back)

Also, how much does it weigh?

  • Looks TUFF.

Hopefully not an issue, but I wonder if that fork crown is just right for good shinners?

  • This is the raddest thread on here. I love it!

    Great work buddy.

  • These bikes are amazing. Having been involved over the weekend (in a strictly viewing capacity) in stuffed toy building for a three year old, I'm sure that your daughter will love having something that was made just for her.

This whole thread reminds me of a mid 90's MBUK article where Louis Colella did a similar endeavour; unfortunately I can't find a trace of it, but I imagine this thread will bring you not a little new business.

  • Something really clever with springs... That doesn't quite work at the moment. Will post photos when u have put them back on. Weighs 3kg.

  • Did think about that, but having had a balance bike for the first daughter, her legs always trailed behind when riding, very different in use position than anything with pedals. The pedal bike doesn't have the swoopy crown for exactly this reason. Good spot though!

  • I'm sure you're right. Can't quite grasp the scale of the bike and tiny human. Looks amazing, it's giving me ideas for my first kids first bike. I'd have to built it with wood though as I have no welding or brazing skills.

There are quite a lot of good balance bikes out there.

  • Nothing as rad as this tho!
