Not sure a jersey is up to the job. I do like the idea of not covering my jersey pockets but.. like.. cold and shit...

They are both jackets.
The stolengoat isn't much of a shell though.My favourite, I think, is the sportful Neopro. Pricey though. The R&D has some insulation, and weather repellent outer shell.
None of my suggestions are totally waterproof. For long rides that's a big ask. So go warm, breathable, and water repellent instead.
Or get a packable rain jacket, and a thermal windproof jersey.

I like the simplicity of this. Basically a gabba jacket. Easier to layer under.
