  • I bet that was a hoot.

  • One of the little plastic clips that attached my helmet strap to the foam lining part has detached. I have superglue and araldite 2-part epoxy.

Will either of them melt the foam? Is there a better glue to use?

  • because of the limited veggie options for my other half

Istanbul it is then, a diverse choice for the non-meat eater, and it's a fascinating city

  • hugo7: There is so much stuff to see in and around Napoli that it would be a shame to cut it out of your trip. Apart from the bigger draws of Herculaneum and Pompeii, what I'd be most interested in would be the Campi Flegrei, to the west and north-west of Naples, and the area north of the peninsula. This small area has a fascinating archaeological history. The Lago d'Averno is where Agrippa built a large fleet against Pompeius, and there is (what is often considered) the world's first road tunnel connecting the lake to Cumae (modern-day Cuma), the Grotta di Cocceio. (This is what I'd most like to see, but sadly it's not accessible to the public. It was used to store ammunition in World War II and some of that exploded and damaged the tunnel.) There's also a lot of fascinating history around Baiae and Miseno.

  • Superglue will melt the foam unless it is specifically a 'foam friendly' type.
    Araldite probably won't.
UHU por (effectively a foam friendly contact adhesive) might be better if there is a reasonable area to glue to, otherwise you want a model shop or better still an aeromodeller who will give you the few drops you need and probably have the correct accelerator.
I'd offer, but I suspect Shropshire is too far away to be convenient.

  • Anyone else seen this pop up on their fb?

  • The search results speak for themselves! Bleuuuuuuchk :-)

  • Well, they've gone, anyway...
I can't see any way that they had water or electricity.
They did leave used nappies everywhere, where they had been lobbing them under the caravan.

  • Delightful, I'm sure.

  • A couple recently moved into our block and immediately started leaving nappies everywhere BUT the bins, the rest of us find it really confusing- it's obviously slightly easier to leave a mound of used nappies in a perforated bag outside your front door, rather than walk 30 seconds to the communal bin- but why would you?

They've been throwing bags of them into the shrubs and hedges as well. Bonkers.

  • Two Londoners have b&b in the sticks across the border from Nice if that is your thing.

  • They are probably on lfgss and leaving shit deposits wherever they feel someone has infringed upon them.

  • It's the IRL equivalent of spamming Facebook with baby photos. "Look our sprog's shit! LOOK AT IT!!!"

  • Is it Dani Foffa and his wife?

  • I'm going to a football match near Brighton in the evening on 29 Dec.

I was thinking about cycling down there, but I've just seen there are no trains past Gatwick towards London.

Is there any other feasible way of getting back again with a bike after 22:30?

  • It looks like it's only the section between Redhill and East Croydon that's bus replacement.

Train to Redhill, cycle 11 miles to Croydon, train the rest of the way again. Or maybe to Dorking and then cross to Dorking Deepdene and get another train into London.

Hmm, something is odd, just searched again and it's now saying:-

Train from Brighton to Three Bridges and then another train from Three Bridges to Victoria. No bus replacement.

  • Besides looks, is there a reason those H+ archetype rims are so popular?

  • Strong and not too expensive.

  • The weight, width and strength.

  • It looks like you're right, there are one or two trains available via Three Bridges.

  • Ah ok makes sense.
