I trashed a tub too, gave up at that point and waited by the line for the winner to come through, then strolled over.
Had a decent first lap until someone wiped out in front of me and I fell on top of him. Got going again, then the bike was so clogged with mud and leaves that the chain kept dropping. Was having to stop 3 or 4 times a lap and get it on again.
It was top quality mud though, cracking stuff.

a superior kind of mud, in my opinion, to what we've seen this season. The lack of grass meant it was mostly ridable, perhaps a little less clogging.
Always enjoy riding at Fryland but always trash a tub. Might give tubeless ago again.
