First top 10 yesterday in the western league. Nice and muddy with a bit of elevation and only one set of barriers. Made a good start and managed to hang on to the front bunch for a couple of laps then settled in and had a bit of too and fro.
All going pretty well and the fmb super muds working outstandingly. A lot of people struggling with the mud and traction and also with clogged bikes. Around 45mins in I reached down to clear some mud from the bottom bracket area and dislodged the chain. Narrow wide chairing meaning a bit of faff to put back on and all the mud meant it then came off twice more. Thankfully I only lost a place in the end as despite being passed by a few guys they then had to stop to clear their bikes.
8th in the end which I am super happy with. Although it now means I have a new target of a top 5...
