Was going to do interesting things with the lugs, but have decided to be a bit belt and braces with the amount of steel that's actually bonded to the carbon. That and the scheme is going to be 'busy' as it is.

This really is wonderful.

Could have painted a bike from Halfords with the sparkly pink and got the same response from child, but I seemed to have got carried away!

You have the talent, she gets a fookin awesome bike. She'll remember it when she's older, believe me, they don't forget the really cool things.

It wouldn't be the same and you know it.

You all underestimate how important pink is to the first born. Her reason for wanting carbonara over lasagne yesterday was that "carbonara has pink in". It's a bit of a get out of jail free card. One that I really cocked up with this thing.

Obvs I don't want her riding anyone else's bike, so as long as it's pink, it's win win.

Also, seat tube is offcut from @Hoops bike, so not designed to have a useful ID. Have knocked up a shim to take a 27.2 post.

No time to do anything with it today, also found out that the brakes I ordered ages ago are coming from sodding hk, so God knows if they'll turn up I'm time...

Someone on here must have something like this floating around.

Problem is they need to be :

1. Really short reach and blade
   
2. Not shit.
   
   

Not a lot of choice, as I found. I'm hoping that they will be here, they've already left hk, th only problem is they are using RM as there delivery partner, and I have never had a parcel delivered by RM from abroad that hasn't gone wrong in one way or another.

Which is precisely why you need a plan b.

There must be some Paul ones on t'bay.

I have one's from the bike shop next door that I can use on crimbo day, so it won't be the end of the world, but would really like to have all the right stuff on it from day one. Thought of the Pauls, but they don't come down far enough for daughters tiny hands.

Or do you mean the actual brakes? In which case I know this is meant to be a bling hike, but with wheels that small any brake will probably work.

If those Paul levers have reach adjustment, could you fit a longer grub-screw, to enable you to bring the lever as close to the bar as you need it?

Assuming they're not small enough already.

I guess if they work for Amey......
