There's a London League race tomorrow at Frylands Wood, less than half an hour's ride from you. You can do it on a MTB if you want too.
I think the best all round clincher is the Michelin Mud 2, it's good in dry and intermediate conditions and copes with mud as well as most.
Could I just turn up and enter? It won't be full? I'd be on a full-sus MTB if I did. Probably as inappropriate as last night's hybrid...
