My first attempt is ok-ish. Not beutiful, and the holes I punched for lacing kept splitting. I'd just cut a narrowish slit next time (but with round ends so the split doesn't continue later), and not bother trying to lace the top flap inwards.
Cheers for that, sorry for the late reply. I might give it a crack over christmas. How do you secure the saddle whilst you cut it? Don't want to bend the rails and a vice seems a bit to heavy duty.
