USB chargeable lights.

• They last a tiny fraction of the time battery powered LED lights did. I used to get whole seasons, months, out of my old Knog Frog. The new improved USB equivalent manages two or three days.
  
• They give fuck all warning before they go OUT leaving you totally lightless (you'd get days, even weeks of diminishing wattage to remind you with batteries)
  
• When they go out you can't just pull over and buy batteries
  
• You have to take them off the bike to charge them. Or forget to charge them. Or charge them then forget to put them back on the bike

indeed. blackberry fleas are the worst culprits. lights with usb rechargeable 3.7v batteries are the way forward.

Got any recommendations? I just had to buy yet another cheap USB-er having forgotten to reattach my rear Knog this morning.

Mine are OK, and warn too...but the front battery life ain't great. I ran a dynohub when I had to d0 90 mins in an unlit path...

you can also use non-rechargeable batts if you prefer.

Exposure lights do have a charge indicator, latest ones even tell you how long the battery will last in different modes.
