Using 24 cx-ray spokes is like making a wheel with 16 1.8mm dt comp spokes.
Maybe use 24 dt aero comps instead. -> http://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=8;product=81815;menu=1000,2,302,303
I'm currently in the process of speccing some wheels for a new single speed road bike I'm planning. The current plan is Superstar Pave 28/Kinlin XC279 rims and Mack low flange hubs held together with good old CX-Rays. The front wheel is going to have 20 spokes, because that's what most of my road wheels have and I can't see why this should need more. Any reason to go for more than 24 spokes on the rear? Almost all my road wheels have 24 spokes on the rear (except for the RS80s which have only 20) and I can't see why being single speed rather than geared should require more spokes. Current weight is 80kg, but slowly decreasing.
